BLAH BLAH BLAH

I walked home yesterday evening, enjoying the warm weather and not-so-much enjoying the blister on my big toe. I happened to be looking down when I saw something fall at my feet. It was a huge plop of bird poop and if couldn’t have been closer without hitting the tip of my shoe. I stopped and looked up. A robin was perched high up in the overhanging tree, and it shifted on one foot as I gazed up. I truly felt as if it had been timed to get me as the street was quiet and I was the only one on the sidewalk. I cursed the robin, and continued walking, stopping a couple of steps later to make sure that indeed I hadn’t been hit. It was that close. I don’t care what my mum says about bird poop being lucky – it would have been messy.
